Kim has resided in Grant County Wisconsin since 1956, and he has been a Platteville resident since graduating from law school in 1978.
Kim's wife, Cynthia, retired as the Director of Platteville's St. Mary's Pre-School. Kim has three children: Brian, who lives in Salem, Oregon and is a psychologist/counselor; Matt, who is currently living in Madison, Wisconsin; and Erika, currently in Iowa City, Iowa. Kim and Cinday have two grandchildren.
Kim has been very active in the community including being a former grade school basketball coach, little league coach and President of the Platteville Youth Baseball League for four years. Kim has been a member of the Platteville Optimist Club for over 30 years. He is an avid golfer and enthusiastic supporter of the UW-Platteville Pioneer Basketball team.
