Thom has been a frequent lecturer to numerous continuing legal education seminars put on by local bar organizations, the State Bar of Wisconsin, and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He is active in community development, founded the Grant County Economic Development Corporation, and is an avid Badgers fan.
Kim has resided in Grant County Wisconsin since 1956, and he has been a Platteville resident since graduating from law school in 1978. He has been very active in the community, including being a former grade school basketball coach, little league coach and President of the Platteville Youth Baseball League. Kim is also a long time member of the Platteville Optimist Club.
Sheila has been practicing law at Kopp McKichan since 1989. She graduated with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law and began her career in Platteville, where she first assisted in personal injury cases.
Mike is active in his community and is a two time President of the Platteville Optimists and the Platteville Chamber of Commerce. He is also a frequent guest lecture at the University of Wisconsin Law School. Mike has been practicing law at Kopp McKichan since 1994. He is a big Packers fan and an active member of his church.
After graduating from Law School in 2005, Nathan interned for Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice David Prosser Jr. He started working for Kopp McKichan in April of 2006 and became a partner in 2011. He is active in his community and currently serves as President of the Platteville Community Fund.
Mic is the longest standing member of Kopp McKichan and has been practicing law for over 50 years. Mic joined the law firm shortly after graduating from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1963. Mic is an ardent supporter of youth sports, especially golf, both in Platteville and state wide. He is a diehard Badgers fan and almost never misses a football or basketball home game.
Ryan Kieler is an associate at Kopp McKichan. Ryan graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2015. He was a Managing Editor of the Wisconsin Law Review. Ryan is currently serving as the President of the Grant County Bar Association and teaches Agricultural Law at the University of Wisconsin - Platteville.
With a background in economics, Brian joined the law office of Kopp McKichan in 2019 and continues to assist folks with their estate planning, probate, real estate, and business needs. He is a member of the Tri-State Estate Planners Association and has licenses to practice law in Wisconsin, Maryland and West Virginia.
